Spanish shipyard LaNaval has reached an agreement to build two LNG-powered ferries – said to be the biggest ferries ever built in Spain and the first in the country to run on gas - for shipping company Baleària.
Spanish ferry operator, Baleària, is now part of AkzoNobel’s carbon credits programme, which financially rewards ship owners by enabling them to generate income form reduced CO2 emissions.
The Spanish shipyard Astilleros Hijos de J Barreras in Vigo has recently delivered the Euro 100 million SF Alhucemas to ferry owner, Balearia.
