Latest transmissions for hybrid power
ZF’s 9300 PTI is designed to be at the centre of hybrid propulsion systems
ZF Marine’s latest transmission development focuses on the emerging trend for hybrid propulsion system.
The 9300 PTI is said to be ready to be matched with an electric motor, and is available in several configurations suitable for all types of fast vessels and workboats powered by engines up to 5,000 bhp at 2,100 rpm, with an available ratio range from 1.5 to 5.2. Depending on the application, the gearboxes are available with light alloy or cast iron housings and various accessories are offered, including PTOs, trolling valves, and trailing pumps.
A new addition has recently been added to ZF’s light weight high power 24000 series. The 24300 system, also available for hybrid propulsion systems, allow for maximum installation flexibility in customised projects with special hull design, as well as in standard applications. The ZF 24300 is available as a reversing gearbox in DR (diagonal right) and DL (diagonal left) configurations. It is intended for medium duty applications for power up to 7,100 bhp at 2,000 rpm with an available ratio range from 3.5 to 8.7.
