Water jetting for cleaning and cold cutting
High pressure cleaning on a ship hull
UK company Hughes Pumps says that its range of UHP (ultra high pressure) pumps can provide a powerful and environmentally sensitive method of heavy-duty cleaning and cutting.
According to Hughes, when used in conjunction with specialist tooling and accessories, water jetting can be a highly effective solution in a diverse range of applications including surface preparation, tank and vessel cleaning and cold cutting.
The company’s UHP positive displacement plunger pumps and water jetting equipment are designed for heavy duty cleaning and cutting at pressures to 2,750bar and power ratings to 375kW. Options available include diesel engine or electric motor drive, trailer or skid mounts, with variants to suit many requirements plus a full range of accessories.
The range comes in nine frame sizes, each including a range of plunger sizes, featuring close-coupled reduction gearbox drives and SAE engine adaptor housings, splash or pressure lubrication, fully supported crankshafts, stainless-steel pump heads and ceramic plungers.
Hughes Pumps says it has built up some 40 years of experience in the design and manufacture of high pressure, positive displacement pumps and water jetting equipment for use in harsh environments, and it is willing to engineer a solution to any problem.
