Widescreen format for marine computers
Conrac’s marine PC
German company Conrac was at the recent SMM event, launching a series of marine grade panel PCs, which the company says adds the flexibility of an integrated solution to the benefits of the existing ECDIS marine displays.
Conrac’s marine panel computer is designed to run all marine applications, from automation and control to ECDIS and navigation, with high reliability. It is based on a high performance industrial PC employing the latest low-power embedded technology.
The company’s integrated a proprietary system monitoring application, SysMon, is used to control various settings and parameters. It controls the backlights, supervises the system and allows the integration of the ALCplus ambient light control system.
The units are available for console mounting, with 22in (56cm) and 26in (66cm) diagonal screen sizes.
The company additionally produces large-screen displays suitable for marine environments, in sizes up to 65in, tested to various MIL standards.
