Holt Executive are assisting a market-leading marine electronics business who are currently seeking to hire an experienced Marine Electronic Engineer.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-paced multi-national organisation that holds relationships with some of the key stakeholders in the marine and communications industries.

Key Responsibilities for the Marine Electronic Engineer:

  • The Marine Electronic Engineer will work with the Principle Engineer and appointed Administrator to ensure the efficient operation of the Marine service Centre.
  • The Marine Electronic Engineer will carry out installation and commissioning of equipment on customers' vessels and premises.
  • The Marine Electronic Engineer will carry out maintenance and repair of equipment on customers' vessels and premises and on company premises.
  • The Marine Electronic Engineer will provide technical support to customers and the company's sales and service agents.
  • The Marine Electronic Engineer will promote and seek the sales of Company products and services during contact with customers.
  • The Marine Electronic Engineer will work with the Principle Engineer and appointed Administrator to maintain existing client relationships and develop new.
  • The Marine Electronic Engineer will perform surveys and inspections of ship radio communications and radio navigational installations, subject to being in possession of the appropriate qualifications, accreditations and experience.
  • The Marine Electronic Engineer be competent with marine equipment and integrated systems in line with their experience and qualifications.

Key Skills and Qualifications for the Marine Electronic Engineer:

  • The Marine Electronic Engineer will have past experience in a service industry as well as an in-depth knowledge of Marine Navigation and communication systems is essential.
  • The Marine Electronic Engineer will have a good track record in customer service.
  • The Marine Electronic Engineer will have experience working for a marine electronics service company.
  • The Marine Electronic Engineer would have attended Navigation and Communications manufactures training courses.
  • The Marine Electronic Engineer will have excellent communicator, able to express ideas in both written and verbal form to a variety of audience's.
  • The Marine Electronic Engineer will have a proven ability to think in an entrepreneurial way and apply good commercial business sense to technical decisions.
  • The Marine Electronic Engineer will hold a GMDSS operator's certificate
  • The Marine Electronic Engineer will have Radio survey experience.
  • The Marine Electronic Engineer will have a BOSIET or OLF certification.
  • Technical competency, able to show an in depth understanding of the rules and regulations surrounding the marine industry as well as knowledge of electronics engineering.
  • Working knowledge of the UK maritime market including relevant suppliers.
