An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Ship Manager to work with their Marine business to manage all operational aspects of their City of London and City of Westminster vessels.
Working as part of the Marine Management team, this will include managing the ship-based employees, leading safety, health and environmental performance and driving a culture of high performance. The role will also involve managing ship maintenance schedules, including maintenance of the vessels structure, systems and equipment to meet the legislation requirements, flag state and classification rules.
Ideally you will have held a STCW 95 III/2 Class 1 Certificate of Competency with supporting deep sea experience and possess the competence to act as deputy DPA. A proven history of managing complex docking projects and electronic planned maintenance systems is a necessity, together with excellent management and IT skills.
Applicants will need to be effective people managers who are flexible and responsive to operational change. Excellent communication skills are essential as is the ability to deal with a variety of technical issues.
