Daewoo wins order for bulk carrier trio

Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering has won a $350 million order to build three bulk carriers. Under the contract with an Asian shipping firm, Daewoo will deliver the ships by early 2013.
Daewoo has won orders worth $3 billion to build ships and offshore facilities so far this year, taking the total order backlog to about $34 billion, the company said.
