Maritime satcoms provider Marlink has extended its contract with offshore operator Simon Møkster Shipping

Satellite communications provider Marlink has extended its contract with Simon Møkster Shipping for an additional five years, continuing the provision of Sealink VSAT services on 18 existing ships, and five newbuildngs.

Offshore vessel operator Simon Møkster Shipping is primarily engaged in the North Sea, within the areas of platform supply, anchor handling, sub sea, ro-ro cargo and emergency services. The company has worked with Marlink for over ten years.

“Flexibility and quality of services is an important factor for us as we require satellite communications to facilitate an extensive range of business critical applications. Marlink, including its support team at Eik teleport, is able to ensure outstanding control of its services, offering us the flexibility and reliability we need to operate effectively,” comments Gunnar Løtveit IT/data supervisor for Simon Møkster Shipping.

Commenting on the renewed contract, Tore Morten Olsen, CEO, Marlink, said: “I am delighted that we have once again been able to satisfy the requirements of Simon Møkster Shipping, which has resulted in the extension of an already long-term relationship with the company.
