Hatlapa expands in Brazil
With the continued growth in the offshore industry, Hatlapa has further developed its winch portfolio, especially for anchor handling, which has led to the German company appointing a new agent in Brazil, Tridente.
This follows Hatlapa’s recent expansion in Norway and China and the latest move is in acknowledgement of the fact that Brazil is now one of the world’s major offshore players and that a strong presence in the Brazilian market will help the company’s way forward in the offshore industry.
Tridente’s long experience in the marine and offshore sectors made it the natural choice as a partner in the Brazilian market. Founded in 1976 as a manufacturing and servicing business, Tridente’s offering is now mainly focussed on maintenance, consultancy and engineering services. The company has two offices in downtown Rio de Janeiro where the majority of shipyards, owners and operators are, one office in Macaé, near the offshore activity in the Campos Basin oilfields, and one service and assembly facility in São Gonçalo, only 30 minutes from the Ports of Rio and Niterói.
