Volvo Penta has a new President - Björn Ingemanson will assume the position on 1 April 2012 succeeding Göran Gummeson, who will retire next year.

Björn Ingemanson is currently the President of Volvo Trucks’ International Division and has a long history with the company. He was also previously European head of the group’s financing company, Volvo Financial Services.

Volvo Trucks is undergoing a reorganisation, culminating in a new organisation at the company’s year end.

Following this reorganisation, Volvo Penta will remain a business within the Volvo Group and will have responsibility for the development and sales of engines and drive systems for marine and industrial applications.
