International Marine Survey Ltd and its associated companies have provided high quality marine survey and consulting services to the marine industry for 40 years.

We are a trusted and quality provider of marine survey and consulting and continue to expand into new territories and markets.

As a result of this expansion we require freelance marine surveyors to carry out vessel and cargo surveys in that location in addition to surveys across the UK and Overseas.

Experienced surveyors are strongly preferred as we have an ongoing work stream to service, but applications from potential new entrants into the marine survey industry are welcomed.

You will join a team of very experienced marine professionals from a variety of industry backgrounds, many of whom enjoy lucrative and varied work on freelance terms.

This is a dynamic and busy role that requires an understanding of vessels and cargo across several trades and an individual who is task-focused, can work to deadlines and who can operate as part of a skilled, ambitious and high performing team.

You will represent IMS to ship owners, cargo shippers or cargo receivers, insurers and other stakeholders and you will be required to ensure that the client’s interests are protected. A high degree of integrity is required, as is the willingness to accept short notice local travel with occasional overseas assignments. We operate every day of the year, and our team members work together to ensure coverage of client requirements.
