New offshore crane contracts
Bergen Group Dreggen has been awarded new contracts with an aggregated value of $7 million from three different international customers, comprising eight different crane units for offshore and maritime operations.
“The contracts show that the Bergen Group Dreggen has managed to establish a good position in an international market with high demands for quality and reliability”, said Bergen Group executive vice president Sebjørn Madsen.
The Bergen-based company, which is a part of Bergen Group's technology division, supplies cranes and lifting equipment for ships and the offshore industry, and in the past year has established sales and service units in Brazil and Singapore.
“Looking ahead, Bergen Group Dreggen still has an exciting growth potential in the Norwegian as well as in the international market”, said Madsen.
The company says it has almost quintupled sales in the last five years, and claims an order backlog that ensures good capacity utilisation through most of 2012.
