Lauren Eatwell is Head of WindWings\u00ae at BAR Technologies, where she leads the development, deployment, and commercial strategy of the company\u2019s pioneering wind propulsion system. A central figure behind the WindWings \u00ae, Lauren has played a key role in its design, classification, and real-world implementation positioning WindWings\u00ae as a transformative solution for decarbonising global shipping.<\/p>\n
Her role spans the technical, operational and commercial, working closely with shipowners, operators, classification societies, shipyards, and regulators to ensure WindWings\u00ae is not only technically, but scalable, cost-effective and aligned with industry needs and environmental goals.<\/p>\n
With a master\u2019s in mechanical engineering from the University of Bath, Lauren has built a career focused on maritime innovation and sustainability. She is passionate about bridging the gap between breakthrough technology and practical application, helping the industry move beyond convention and towards real, measurable climate action.<\/p>\n
