A chartered engineer with a PhD in Hydrogen Safety from Loughborough University, Dr Beard has more than a decade of experience working across vessels and shoreside infrastructure, with a focus on the safe and practical deployment of low- and zero-carbon energy solutions.<\/p>\n
In his role at BMT, he leads clean maritime initiatives and contributes to a number of industry working groups and advisory boards, including as co-chair of the IMarEST Ship Energy and Environment group.<\/p>\n
At PFF, Dr Beard will share insight into the real-world challenges of energy transition, including safety, regulation and integration considerations, with particular relevance to emerging nuclear applications in maritime.<\/p>\n
