Named &#8216;Baltic Queen&#8217;, the vessel, worth EUR 180 million gave 1,700 man years of work for the yard.<\/p>\n<p>The newbuilding will start operations between Stockholm &#8211; Tallinn route on 24 April, replacing the &#8216;Romantika&#8217;. The new ferry is the sistership to the &#8216;Baltic Princess&#8217; which was handed over from the Helsinki shipyard in July 2008. The Queen is the fifth sophisticated cruise ferry STX Europe has delivered for Tallink.<\/p>\n<p>The 212m long and 29m wide Baltic Queen will be one of the biggest and fastest cruise ferries in the Baltic Sea, having capacity for 2,800 passengers and a top speed of approximately 24 knots. Latest technologies have been applied in the superior interior decoration of the passenger spaces.
