STX Europe has entered into new contracts with Norwegian-based Isl<\/p>\n
and<\/p>\n
Offshore for the building of two 4,000 dwt platform supply vessels.<\/p>\n
The vessels\u2019 93 m long hulls will be built at STX\u2019s Romanian shipyard for outfitting at STX Europe in Brevik <\/p>\n
and<\/p>\n
are based on the same design as<\/p>\n
Isl<\/p>\n
and<\/p>\n
Comm<\/p>\n
and<\/p>\n
er<\/i> <\/p>\n
and<\/p>\n
Isl<\/p>\n
and<\/p>\n
Chieftain <\/i>delivered from STX Europe earlier this year. The vessels are scheduled for delivery in Q4 2011 <\/p>\n

Q1 2012. The total value of the contracts amounts to approximately NOK 800 million.<\/p>\n
The vessels are of Rolls-Royce UT 776 CD design, <\/p>\n
and<\/p>\n
will be numbers five <\/p>\n

six in this series delivered from STX Europe to Isl<\/p>\n
