The 9L32\/44CR engines each develop 5,040 kW at 750 rpm and are complemented by 2 \u00d7 Renk RSV 900C gearboxes and 2 \u00d7 Alpha CPP propellers. They will be built at MAN Diesel & Turbo\u2019s Augsburg works in Germany and are scheduled for delivery in August 2013.<\/p>\n

MAN Diesel & Turbo refined the propulsion system in close cooperation with the Cantieri Navali Visentini shipyard and NAOS, the Italian RoPax\/RoRo ship-design specialist. The MAN Alpha CP propellers stem from the new HUB Mark 5 series, which \u2013 courtesy of a project-specific special propeller-blade design \u2013 deliver a very high propulsive efficiency, leading to substantial fuel-oil savings for the complete propulsion plant.<\/p>\n
