The company says that the benefits include higher performance, easy installation, a high degree of integration, and ice class compatibility. It is designed in compliance with environmental regulations such as the US EPA VGP 2013 requirements.<\/p>\n<p>For the newest WST portfolio, W\u00e4rtsil\u00e4 said it began the type approval process from the earliest possible moment, which should allow significant cost savings as well as reductions in production time. DNV-GL approval of the prototype design is said to be an important step towards full type approval, and confirmation that the design calculations meet class requirements regarding standard operations, as well as for operations in ice conditions (ice class certification). A WST-14 prototype is being built at W\u00e4rtsil\u00e4\u2019s plant in Wuxi, China, and will be shipped to Tuusula, Finland for testing and validation.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;This exceptional approval provides further evidence of the quality of W\u00e4rtsil\u00e4&#8217;s technology development.
