The company will invite class society DNV GL to witness emission tests soon, said Fu Hongtian, general manager, SunRui.<\/p>\n<p>SunRui is also in the process of developing an exhaust gas cleaning system (also known as scrubbers) to clean exhaust of SOx, said Hongtian. The company will apply to DNV GL for approval of this project in the near future, he added.<\/p>\n<p>Last month SunRui became the fourth supplier \u2013 and the first based in Asia \u2013 to be awarded USCG type approval for a ballast water management system. The company selected DNV GL to act as the required \u2018independent laboratory\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>Vincent Li Ping Kwong, business development manager Greater China at DNV GL \u2013 Maritime said: \u201cThe process has taken around three years. During this time we were very impressed with SunRui\u2019s commitment to making sure that their ballast water treatment system complied with the highest safety and quality standards.
