Babcock launches ethane BOG reliquefaction technology

Babcock International, a global leader in liquefied gas cargo handling systems, has launched an ethane Boil Off Gas (BOG) reliquefaction technology, ecoETHN™, to its portfolio of solutions. The patent pending ecoETHN technology integrates the reliquefaction system with the fuel gas supply system, enabling reliquefaction of ethane-rich BOG that can be used as fuel for main engine and auxiliary power generators. It utilises Babcock’s existing SuperCooler™ and VentGasCooler (VGC™) technologies.
