Use of Motorship is subject to the following terms and conditions, which by using this website you are deemed to have accepted. If you do not accept these terms and conditions you must not use this website.

Accounts

You may register a free account. You are responsible for keeping your password secure and for activity carried out under your account. Please tell us promptly if you believe someone else is using it.

Accounts are personal to you. Sharing credentials so that several people can use one subscription is not permitted; team and corporate access is available separately — please contact us.

We may suspend or close an account that is being shared, used to systematically extract our content, or used in breach of these terms.

Subscriptions, payment and renewal

Subscription prices, and what each plan includes, are shown on our subscribe page. Payment is taken by Stripe, our payment provider; we do not store your card details.

Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each term unless cancelled beforehand. We will tell you before a renewal is taken.

Prices are shown exclusive of VAT. VAT is added at checkout at the applicable rate. If we change the price of a subscription, we will give you at least one month's notice before the new price takes effect at renewal, so that you can cancel first if you would rather not continue.

Cancelling and refunds

You can cancel at any time from the Subscription section of your account, which takes you to our payment provider's billing portal. Cancelling stops the next renewal; your access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for.

If you are a consumer in the UK, you ordinarily have a statutory right to cancel a distance contract within 14 days. Where you have asked us to begin providing access immediately and acknowledged that you will lose that right once we have done so, the right to cancel ends when access begins. Where access has not yet begun, we will refund you in full within 14 days of being told you wish to cancel.

These statutory rights are in addition to, and are not limited by, anything else in these terms.

Beyond the statutory right described above, we do not offer refunds once access to a subscription has started, and we do not refund part-used terms. Cancelling stops the next renewal rather than ending the term you have paid for.

Content rights

The copyright and all other rights in all of the material on this site are owned by Mercator Media, or the material is included with the permission of the rights owner. As a visitor to the site you may copy material on this site for your own private or domestic purposes, but no copying, adapting or transmitting for any purpose other than your own private or domestic purposes is permitted without our express prior written permission. You must not reproduce any extract or part of this website in any other website, or store any part or extract in any public or private electronic retrieval system.

This includes using our content to train machine learning models, which is not permitted without our written permission.

Information on this site

Whilst every effort is made to ensure that the information on this site is accurate and complete, this website is provided as-is without any warranties of any kind and we do not accept any liability arising from any inaccuracies or omissions. We advise you to verify the accuracy of any information before relying upon it. We shall not be liable if for any reason this website is unavailable, and we reserve the right to amend, update, delete, suspend or remove the website or any of its content at any time without notice.

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else which cannot lawfully be limited or excluded.

This site contains links to other sites which we hope are of interest. Mercator Media does not accept any responsibility for, or make any representation regarding, the content of those sites, the owners of which do not necessarily have any connection, commercial or otherwise, with us. If you decide to access any third-party website via a link from this site, you do so entirely at your own risk.

Submissions

Advertisers and users on this site are responsible for making sure that any material submitted for inclusion is free of all malicious code, complies with all relevant laws and regulations, and that they have all the required licences, approvals and permissions. Any material submitted for inclusion — other than personally identifiable information, which is subject to our Privacy Policy — will be considered as non-confidential and non-proprietary.

We make every effort to ensure that the site content is free of viruses. We urge you to take precautions in this respect, as we cannot accept responsibility for any infection by virus, malicious code or other communication with destructive properties.

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere in the UK, you may bring proceedings in your own jurisdiction.
