Schottel powers new SOV for Louis Dreyfus Armateurs
French shipping company Louis Dreyfus Armateurs commissioned Schottel to supply a range of propulsion systems for its first wind farm service operation vessel (SOV). The Wind of Change was built at Cemre shipyard in Turkey, and will shortly enter service operating under a long-term contract with Ørsted to maintain four wind farms (Borkum Riffgrund 1 and 2 and Gode Wind 1 and 2) off the German coast.
