NYK orders first upgraded Newcastlemax type from JMU

Japan Marine United (JMU) has won the first order for a new upgraded bulk carrier type, the J211 BC, from NYK Line. JMU confirmed the first order for its new 211,000 dwt J-series type on 10 July, which builds on its previous Newcastlemax G-series 209 bulk carrier (BC) design.

Japan Marine United delivered Fomento Four, the latest example of its Newcastlemax G209 BC design, to Fomento Bulk Carriers from Tsu Shipyard on 18 June.
