Italian grid operator awards EUR2.3bn Tyrrhenian Sea cable contracts

The Italian electricity grid operator, Terna, awarded two framework contracts for the supply and installation of submarine and underground cables to Prysmian and Nexans on 30 November.

The Tyrrhenian Link contract will see Prysmian's Leonardo da Vinci installing cables connecting Sicily and Campania in central Italy.
