NYK develops new VSLFO fuel additive

NYK has developed a new fuel-oil additive effective in dispersing sludge and reducing fuel consumption in very low sulphur fuel oil (VLSFO).

NYK noted that fuel consumption and carbon monoxide (CO) emissions appear to improve when the new additive is used.
