East Anglian green hydrogen production facility planned

Hutchison Ports and ScottishPower are exploring plans to create a green hydrogen production facility at the Port of Felixstowe, UK. The green hydrogen would be used to create hydrogen vectors, such as green ammonia and e-methanol, which could be used to provide fuels for shipping and aviation.

Initial plans to develop a 100MW electrolyser facility capable of producing up to 40 tonnes of green hydrogen per day at the Port of Felixstowe are under consideration.
