The innovative hybrid wellboat Bakkafossur was added to Faroese shipowner Bakkafrost’s fleet in Janaury 2023. The 109-metre long live fish carrier has been designed with an eye on future developments in the offshore fish farming market, as well as potential changes in fuels.

The hybrid wellboat Bakkafossur is powered by five Cummins gensets.
