Several vessels are being tested in Norway for autonomous operations. Many of these developments are linked to the efforts of businesses to decarbonise their operations and the shape of the country’s coastline provides an incentive to move at least part of the logistics chain from road to sea, which benefits the efforts to employ autonomous vessels as well.
