Cummins powers the new offshore breed

The offshore industry in the Americas seems to have a growing demand for a new type of offshore support vessel, the fast supply boat. A size smaller, and lighter, than the conventional PSV, these craft use high speed diesels, mechanically driving either propellers or waterjets for propulsion, rather than the more usual medium-speed diesel electric plant of the larger vessels.
