Lloyd’s Register has released comprehensive new guidance outlining a practical roadmap for safely and responsibly integrating nuclear technology into commercial shipping and offshore industries

Developed in collaboration with Global Nuclear Security Partners and marine insurer NorthStandard, Navigating Nuclear Energy in Maritime details the regulatory, technical, operational and financial steps required to deploy nuclear solutions such as small modular reactors in maritime settings.

Key areas covered include environmental impact assessments, safety classification, structural integrity and the development of a comprehensive nuclear safety case.
