TMC wins VLEC compressor system deal

TMC Compressors has secured a contract from Hyundai Heavy Industries to supply complete marine compressed air systems for two very large ethane carriers being built for Malaysian shipping company MISC

The newbuild vessels, each with a capacity of 100,000 cubic metres, are expected to rank among the world’s largest ethane carriers.

According to MISC, they will transport ethane while also being capable of carrying ethylene and liquefied petroleum gas. Both vessels are scheduled for delivery by the end of 2028.
