First sustainable biofuel bunkering for UECC PCTC

Source: UECC

A pure car truck carrier (PCTC) chartered by UECC has received the bunkering of sustainable biofuel in a blend containing 30% sustainable biofuel. The delivery marked the first time a UECC time-chartered vessel has been bunkered with biofuel.

The successful biofuel bunkering operation was completed at the port of Vlissingen in the Netherlands in a collaboration between UECC, the bunker fuel supplier GoodFuels, and the vessel’s joint owner NYK. GoodFuels supplied the 470 tonne stem of B30 fuel, comprised of VLSFO and 30% sustainable biofuel, to UECC on 27 May, 2023.
