China’s Yangzijian Shipbuilding has won an order for eight 10,000 TEU container ships from German shipowner Peter Dohle.
The Singapore-listed shipbuilder said it has signed an agreement with China Development Bank to provide $1 billion to Dohle to finance the order. The ships are due to be built at the Jiangsu New Yangzi shipyard in China’s Jiangsu province.
