COSCO Shipping Heavy Industry to explore air lube licensing deal

Chinese shipyard group COSCO Shipping Heavy Industry Co. Ltd (CHI) has signed a memorandum of understanding with Silverstream to explore the possibility of licensing the installation of the Silverstream air lubrication system in CHI’s shipyards.

Under the terms of the agreement, Silverstream will assess how its technology could be licensed to fit within CHI’s technology portfolio. The agreement is consistent with the company’s strategy of direct engagement with Chinese shipyards.
