DNV has released a new recommended practice designed to standardise how the maritime industry measures and verifies the performance of onboard carbon capture and storage systems, a move expected to support wider adoption of the emerging emissions-reduction technology

The new framework, DNV RP 0698, ‘Performance of onboard carbon capture and storage systems’, establishes a harmonised methodology for assessing OCCS performance across a range of technologies.
