The 2017 GFS programme will give participants the opportunity to hear first-hand operational experiences of the use of low flash point fuels across different sectors. It will also explore the development and use of alternative fuels and innovative ship designs, with the aim of informing delegates of the viability and likely take-up of ‘future’ fuel options.

Entitled ‘Fuelling the future of the shipping industry’ the Gas Fuelled Ships Conference will give operators in-depth information about the options other operators have already chosen and, through plenary sessions and panel discussions, participants will be able to ask questions to gain the knowledge needed to decide on their preferred future fuel.

The programme will be released shortly and will include pricing predictions, infrastructure updates, together with bunkering, safety and technology updates, as well as the following operator case studies:

World’s largest LNG ready ULCC: Kenta Arai, Director of Technical Division, Mitsui OSK Line

Retrofit to LNG of a container feeder vessel - WES Amelie: Wessels Reederei, & Martial Claudpierre, LNG as Fuel, Business Development Manager, Bureau Veritas

The Gas Fuelled Ships Conference is the only event to include technical visits and, as ever, this year’s Conference with its unique technical visits of the fuel cells in situ on the Viking Mariella, another first for the GFS Conference.

Delegate will benefit from two nights’ accommodation onboard the Viking Mariella, two breakfasts, three lunches and two dinners, when joining the Conference. Places at the Conference will be limited so delegates are advised to book early to guarantee their place.

Shipowners qualify for special rates.
