Southeast Asia’s first e-methanol plant planned

Six companies have formed a partnership that aims to establish Asia’s first green e-methanol plant that will use renewable electricity to convert captured biogenic CO2 into green e-methanol and make it available to the maritime industry.

The partnership plans to set up a pilot plant in Singapore following the conclusion of feasibility studies later this year.
