ECDIS for Azerbaijani fleet

PC Maritime’s Navmaster ECDIS 800 software dates back to the early 1990s, and is now in version 7, having incorporated feedback from many navigators into its development. Navmaster offers various hardware options to suit different bridge layouts: a slim-line processor incorporating a solid state hard drive can be fitted horizontally or vertically, and monitor sizes range from 19in to 24in widescreen. An external break-out box gathers all NMEA signal in/out ports together.

The retro-fit contract was achieved by Marine Technics, PC Maritime’s representative in Azerbaijan, and includes provision of Jeppesen SENC-format electronic charts and installation onboard. Type-specific ECDIS training will be provided by PC Maritime on DVD. Navmaster ECDIS has been type-approved by the Azerbaijan Maritime Administration.

Caspar is the Azerbaijan state shipping company, with a mixed fleet amounting to over 80 ships totalling almost 500,000dwt, including bulk carriers, ro-ro vessels and tankers.
