GE Shipping newbuilds
The Great Eastern Shipping Company (GE Shipping) has placed an order for three newbuild Kamsarmax dry bulk carriers with the Jiangsu Yangzijiang Shipbuilding Group, China.
The 82,000 dwt ships will be built at Jiangsu New Yangzi Shipbuilding Co. Ltd, China according to the new eco-design resulting in greater fuel efficiency. They will be compliant with Energy Efficiency Design Index requirements.
They are expected to join the company’s fleet in the second and third quarter of 2016.
GE Shipping also has three other newbuild vessels on order, one of which is an MR product tanker and two are Kamsarmax dry bulk carriers.
