Greek owner orders Newcastlemax pair

Athens-based Diana has signed, through its 100% owned subsidiaries, two shipbuilding contracts with China Shipbuilding Trading Company and Shanghai Jiangnan-Changxing Shipbuilding for the construction of two Newcastlemax dry bulk carriers.

These newbuilding of approximately 206,000 dwt each are estimated to cost $59 million per vessel and deliveries are scheduled during the second and third quarters of 2012.
