Hull stress monitoring for new hybrid ferries

Light Structures, a supplier of fibre optic condition monitoring systems based on Fibre Bragg Grating technology, has been selected to provide a hull stress monitoring system for two new hybrid-power, double-ended RoPAX vessels.

P&O Ferries' two hybrid-power, double-ended RoPAX newbuildings will incorporate advanced hull stress monitoring systems.
