IMO report estimates emissions from biofouling

The importance of maintaining a smooth and clean hull free from biofouling has been outlined in a new report from IMO.

The report found even moderate fouling can lead to a 25-30% increase in GHG emissions, depending on ship characteristics, its speed and other prevailing conditions.
