Russia to accelerate construction of ice-breakers and ice-class fleet

Russia plans to accelerate the construction of ice-breakers and other ice-class vessels, according to a number of senior Russian state officials speaking during the Eastern Economic Forum, which is being held in Vladivostok in the Russian Far East. The fleet expansion programme is intended to meet expected increased demand along the Northern Sea Route.
