Samsung gets European order for five boxships

Samsung Heavy Industries of Korea has announced a new five-ship order for ultra-large container vessels

Large Samsung container ship – five similar have been ordered from Europe

Samsung said in a stock exchange release that it has secured a contract with an as-yet unnamed European shipowner to build five 14,400teu container ships. The value of the order is estimated to be around US$80 milliion. No other details have been disclosed.
