Stolt Tankers expands digital procurement

The partnership went live in June 2026 and marks Stolt Tankers’ transition from an internally developed procurement system, which is due to be retired, to Procureship’s dedicated technology platform.

The move is intended to use automation, machine learning and data-driven processes to improve purchasing efficiency, control costs and strengthen procurement strategies.

As part of the partnership, Procureship developed an advanced contracts feature tailored to Stolt Tankers’ operational requirements. The system provides a centralised contracts repository and tools to manage and evaluate tenders and supplier agreements.

The new functionality can also automatically generate requests for quotations (RFQs) and purchase orders for contracted items or preselected suppliers. The companies said this should shorten purchasing cycles, improve decision-making and simplify interactions with key suppliers.

Stolt Tankers, part of the Stolt-Nielsen group, joins a Procureship platform currently supporting more than 2,600 vessels operated by more than 115 shipowners, operators and managers worldwide.

The companies are also discussing additional collaboration using Procureship’s wider portfolio of end-to-end procurement solutions.

Lamprou said the partnership represented an important step in the companies’ relationship as they work to advance Stolt Tankers’ digital capabilities across its global fleet.
