DNV claims Purus VLEC class contract
DNV is to class a pair of very large ethane carriers (VLECs) for gas transportation specialist Purus. The ships will be built in South Korea at HD Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI). The contract is for two 98,000cbm VLECs, with delivery scheduled for 2026-2027.
