DUAL-FUEL BREAKER FOR ARCTIC SEAWAY

A new icebreaker powered by dual-fuel machinery is planned to support traffic generated by a major industrial player in the Russian Arctic, writes David Tinsley.

Nornickel, Rosatom and Far Eastern Shipbuilding & Ship Repair Center (FESRC) will design and construct an LNG-fuelled escort icebreaker to replace Finnish-built Taimyr (pictured).
