Demonstrating that wind propulsion can reduce emissions is the mission and passion of Josef Camilleri, and one he will share at the Propulsion & Future Fuels Conference.
As the Performance Analysis Manager at Anemoi Marine, where he leads the analysis, verification and optimisation of the company’s Rotor Sail technology, Camilleri will contribute to the session From Installation to Impact: Lessons Learned in Wind-Assisted Propulsion, on the opening day of the December 8-10 gathering in Hamburg.
“I’m looking forward to speaking at The Propulsion & Future Fuels Conference and sharing how reliable performance verification can build confidence in wind-assisted propulsion,” he said.
“By showing what these technologies can achieve in real operating conditions, we can support wider adoption and help the shipping industry move towards net zero.”
With a PhD in Maritime Engineering from the University of Southampton, Camilleri has more than eight years of experience across maritime engineering, simulation, and data science, developing practical solutions based on real-world operational data.
