Irish Sea ro-ro freight operator Seatruck has launched and named the second in its series of four new vessels building at FSG Flensburg in Germany. The ship has been named ‘Seatruck Power’.

The first of the quartet, Seatruck Progress, is nearing completion and is scheduled to enter service in December; Seatruck Power will follow in February 2012, with the other two ships scheduled to be handed over by mid-2012.

The four ships have a length of 142m, breadth of 25m. Of 5,300dwt, each has capacity for 150 units, with 2,166 lane metres over four decks, this being 35 units more than Seatruck’s current P Series vessels.
