BW TAKES UP OPTION FOR 3 MORE LPG-FUEL RETROFITS

Oslo-listed BW LPG has announced today that it will retrofit three more vessels” engines to dual-fuel engines burning liquid petroleum gas (LPG). This is an option in BW LPG”s 4+4+4+3 contract with MAN PrimeServ – MAN Energy Solutions’ after-sales division.

The BW Gemini, a VLGC from the BW LPG fleet, has had its MAN B&W 6G60ME-C9.2 main engine retrofitted to an MAN B&W 6G60ME-C9.5-LGIP dual-fuel type, capable of operating on fuel oil and LPG. (picture courtesy of BW LPG)
